SU Registration and ID
Syracuse University will provide you with two different unique identifiers: your Syracuse University Identification number (SUID number) and your SU NetID. Having both forms of ID is critical for you to access university services, reading materials, and the Internet while on the Syracuse University campus. Your SUID number will be included on your SUID card. Your SUID card gives you access to various locations and services such as the gym, library, and other SU facilities. Your SU NetID allows you access to Syracuse University’s digital resources (such as the library). You will need your SUID in order to get your SU NetID.
Register for your SUID and NetID
You will need to register online in order to get an SUID number and an SU NetID. Registration is handled by Syracuse University’s office of Microcredentials. Follow the step-by-step instructions below. The IQMR course page is private. Please use the link sent to you in our April 13 email to access the listing for IQMR.
Follow the link to the IQMR course sent to you via email. Click the “Login to register” button next to the IQMR listing.

You will be prompted to log into the Microcredentials Registration system. If you have already created an account in this system, select log in under “Returning Users”. Otherwise, select create an account under “First-time users”.

Once you select create an account, you will be redirected to a page labeled “Register”. On this page, please fill out your e-mail address, first & last name, and birthdate and select “Continue”.

A temporary PIN number will be sent to your e-mail address. Please keep this screen up while you navigate to your e-mail inbox to find the e-mail. This e-mail will come from Syracuse University — Microcredentials — microcredential@syr.edu titled “Syracuse University Microcredentials Online Registration”. The 9-digit temporary PIN number will be at the bottom of the e-mail.

Navigate back to the registration page and enter the temporary PIN number and your birth date and click the “Login” button.

At this point, you will be asked to set a password. Please follow the listed requirements for password complexity.

Once you have set your password you will be sent back to the original page. The “Login to register” button will now say “Add to Cart”. Please click “Add to Cart” next to the course you would like to register for.

A new window will pop up with more information regarding the course you are interested in registering for. Please review all the information before continuing.
Once you’ve scrolled to the bottom of the page, you will see an “Add to Cart” button. Please click on this button to continue.

You will know the course has been added to your cart by seeing the green “Item successfully added to cart!” banner and the red icon in your shopping cart. Please click on the shopping cart icon to continue.

Please review your shopping cart to confirm you are registering for the correct course. If everything looks correct, please select “Checkout”.

You will be redirected to a new page containing all of the information needed to establish your Syracuse University official student record. Please fill out the required information (marked with an *) and acknowledge the Registration and Participant Code of Conduct Policies for Non-credit Offerings. You will not be required to make any payment or enter credit card information. Once everything is filled out, please select “Submit”. You will receive a registration confirmation e-mail once received. You are all set! Please reach out to microcredential@syr.edu if you have any issues with the system or registration process.
